When I first found out that I would be in a journalism class I was very worried and skeptical. Writing is not my strong suit and I certainly do not have a passion for it. Furthermore when I found out that I had to write a blog with 10 posts I was very uneasy. And I wasn't sure as to what I should write about. Some people have written about shoes, movies and anything else you can think of. What should I write about?
I've decided that I will write about my life and job in the theater. I work at Avon Lake High School in the Performing Arts Center and I spend a lot of time there. We have many events in the PAC and every one is different! Each one is exciting and brings new trials.
Right now we are preparing for Mighty Goliath Productions show Oklahoma. It opens in two weeks and will run for two weekends. This upcoming week is tech week. When all is said and done, myself and the people I work with spend more time at the high school then we do in our homes.
Outside of working in the theater I also work with the camera crew. Tonight I will be going out to watch and film the hockey game.
Basically I love my job and the people I work with. My hopes and goal is to share a little bit of the ins and outs of the theater that most people don't get to see. I hope you enjoy!
